Balloons, electricity pole and lines, this image is a reminiscence of a little child looking up to a floating balloon. There is a sense of melancholy, that sudden sadness you feel when your balloon flew away and as a child, there is nothing you can do but watch it go past the clouds and disappear. As a child, it might also be an early memory of loss in a sense that that balloon had become your companion and you lost someone close to you.

It is amazing how objects can trigger your memories, makes you think about things that have been hiding in the corner of your mind. As a child, every time my balloon flew away, I used to make sure it disappeared and although I felt quite sad about losing it, It made me feel like I had freed it from captivity and the balloon was flying away freely.
